New Release – Sight Unseen by Distant Images
Distant Images are an atmospheric indie band from Glasgow (Scotland). Online reviews have compared them to Cocteau Twins, M83 and Slowdive describing them as “a modern day spin off from the shoegaze greats”. They are steadily building a strong fanbase with shows at Presfest, 13th Note, Market Inn, Ayr and upcoming show at Sneaky Pete’s. Their goal is to play at the legendary King Tuts.
Their new single ‘Sight Unseen’ is out 16th June. Pre-save the song here.
“The song is about love and loss. It’s about knowing that you will see that person again one day. It’s about trying to find a way to live without them but knowing you can’t but you try to portray to everyone else that you are coping.”
“We recorded and produced it at home in our home studio. We find this gives us full control on the process from the initial creation to the finished product. This all came from lockdown when we recorded our first EP at home and found we were so passionate about the whole process of creating music.”
“I think we feel both excited and really nervous about how people will react to the song. We are always so overwhelmed by the support we have had and while we always get excited about new music we still feel really nervous and anxious how it will be received.”
