New Release – November Again by Perfect Lies

Perfect Lies was formed during the Covid lockdown. After playing live for years, the band decided to start recording music they had written but never done anything with previously. Strong influences include Creed, Alter Brdige, Fuel, Breaking Benjamin.

What’s the song about?

“My wife and I moved our son and daughter in-law to Oklahoma from Minnesota to help care for her parents as they were again and in poor health in 2021. Mid 2022 my mother in-law become very ill quickly and passed. My wife had been with her for several weeks prior, staying in Oklahoma. She then stayed to help care for her father who also passed several months later. I stayed in Minnesota and began writing ‘November Again’ about what we were going through losing both parents and being apart for over six months.”

Do the lyrics have a special meaning to you?

“It can be difficult to get all your emotions, lyrically into one song. They try describe the emotions that my wife, our son, and I went through during this time, but in a relatable way to anyone that has lost someone close to them.”

What are you hoping to achieve with this release?

“To connect with people that may have had a similar experience, which so many have in losing someone so close to them.”

Where was it recorded and mixed?

“It was recorded in my home studio and mixed/master in Hong Kong through a great engineer I met through the NAS (New Artist Spotlight) group.”

Is the release accompanied with a music video?

“We will release a somewhat “Lyric” video mixed with footage of the actual writting/recording process. It will be released on our Youtube page as well as other social media.”
