New Release – Naked Champagne by Nathalie Weider

Nathalie Weider is a Swiss singer-songwriter.

“My sound is honest, mostly German music reflecting my own emotions.”

“I have been singing ever since I can remember. As a child, I took my parents’ records, wrote out the lyrics by hand and sang in my room. My first public performance at the age of 10 comes about rather by chance in a hotel in Austria. At the beginning of the 90s, my first recordings were made in a studio for fun. Performances followed in Germany, Austria and Switzerland including my first really big performance at a festival on the Bregenz lake stage with an audience of 4,000. It was then, at the latest, that I got to know and love the adrenaline flowing through my veins on stage.”

Her upcoming release ‘Naked Champagne’ is an international collaboration with Philippe Perelmann (Lucy, Racquel and me) from Paris and Patrick Slowhand (Portobello Express) from Vienna.

“I met Portobello Express (Patrick Slowhand and Betty) on Twitter, I think it was early 2021. On 16th July 2021 we met in person for the first time in Vienna and immediately became close friends. Portobello Express recommended Philippe Perelmann (Lucy, Racquel and me) for collaborations. So I contacted him. I’ve never met Philippe in real life, but hopefully will soon.”

“I really appreciate their wonderful musical support and friendship. And that trying out news things, like mixing languages, can work and make fun.”

“The song ‘Naked Champagne’ is about Champagne, making love and celebrating life. I wrote it beginning of 2022 and finished it middle of 2022.”

“My favourite memory was when I was sitting at home in Switzerland on my couch, tired, and suddenly the guitars from Patrick Slowhand flew in by e-mail from Vienna: They were so hot that I almost made double somersault and was dancing through my flat!”

“I wrote music and lyrics. Philippe Perelmann (Paris, France) made the total arrangement apart from guitars. Guitars are by Patrick Slowhand. They were recorded in Vienna (Austria) as well as my vocals. The song was mixed in Switzerland.”

Naked Champagne’ will be out 7th April.
