Five-piece band The Utopiates are finishing off a big 2023 with their new funk-pop single ‘Love Pill’, which releases 16th November. This is the first track from their follow-up to debut album ‘The Sun Also Rises’ which is set for completion in early 2024.
“We’ll be putting the finishing touches on the forthcoming second album in early 2024 and it shows a new side to our already eclectic back-catalogue.”
Singer Dan, says of the song ‘Love Pill’: “I think I did a good enough job of trying to sum up exactly how my girl makes me feel. We’ve had some pretty hedonistic times together and it’s basically about that and the love between us in those moments!”
“I’m so happy with the production and what all the lad’s brought to it too. We really think this track showcases another side to us without losing that Utopiates’ party vibe we like to lean towards. We love this single version but can’t wait to drop the 7-minute album mix next year! It goes off in that one, this’ll do for now though, roll on the new year and 2024!”

The band also have several tour dates with The Pigeon Detectives confirmed for November and December. More info about the tour and tickets can be found here.
