New Release – Love at First Fight by Nick Domingo

Nick Domingo is an artist from San Diego, California (USA). His music is described as a blend of alternative music with electronic and orchestral aspects. Influenced by artists such as Ed Sheeran, Lifehouse, Jason Wade and Coldplay, along with composers such as John Williams, Danny Elfman, and Hans Zimmer, Nick showcases each of these influences in his own music.

His first album, an eponymous release, was released in June 2022. The album spawned the hit singles ‘Midnight Drive’ and ‘Solaris’. Originally conceived as a science-fiction themed album, it changed to more of an indie-pop sounding record halfway through.

His latest single is a re-recorded version of a song called ‘Love at First Fight’, which originally appeared on ‘The Phoenix Project, Pt. 1’ EP, released back in 2021.

“The original version of this song was written back in March 2021 as part of an EP, which has since been taken down. This re-recorded version was recorded in late November of last year. It’s gone through multiple versions and revisions to get the final product.”

“I created the artwork myself using Canva and a 3D software called Blender.”

“The song and the upcoming music video are inspired by a chapter from a Wattpad story I’d written back in 2016. I don’t wanna give too much away, but the story revolves around two teenage spies working for rivaling agencies that both have crushes on each other. It’s a mix between ‘Romeo and Juliet’ & ‘Jekyll & Hyde’.”

“The story behind the artwork is that the microchip-looking background symbolizes the science-fiction aspect of the music and the story behind it.”

“The crossed batons symbolize the weapons used by the lead characters in the story. I was originally going to add a heart around the batons to showcase the ‘Love’ aspect, but I felt like it might’ve been too much, so I just left it as is.”

‘Love at First Fight’ is out 24th March.
