New Release – Light and Breezy by The Dementians
The Dementians is the brainchild of David Jacques, a Toronto (Canada) based composer.
“Born in Toronto and adopted at birth into an Anglican minister’s family, I started playing violin at 4 and finished formal education at U of T music program in classical guitar. I began writing songs and recording, first on a 2 track, then a 4 track, 8 track etc. I studied classical guitar with the late Eli Kasher and composition with Omar Danials.”
“My new single ‘Light and Breezy’ is a song for people weary from trying and a reminder to stay light and positive, not for the futility of life but for better appreciation, we would love to lighten ourselves of our burdens.”
“I wrote this song for my girl because she works tirelessly.”
“I write and record in my home studio doing all instruments, vocals and only use outside services for mastering. Self taught mixing so no one would mess with my songs.”
‘Light and Breezy’ is out 19th May.
