New Release – I Took A Photo by Atari Pilot
Atari Pilot is an indie rock band that creates anthemic music that speaks to the human experience. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Daft Punk and Oasis, their sound is a unique fusion of classic rock and modern indie sensibilities. With soaring melodies, driving rhythms, and lyrics that contemplate who we are, who we are to each other, and how to navigate life and love in these times.
Atari Pilot’s music is more than just catchy melodies and driving rhythms; it’s a reflection of the human experience. Their songs explore themes of love, loss, and self-discovery, and encourage listeners to embrace their own journeys with courage and hope. With each new release, Atari Pilot continues to push the boundaries of their brand of indie rock, delivering a sound that is both fresh and timeless.
Their new release ‘I Took A Photo’ is out 28th June. Pre-save ‘I Took A Photo’ here.
“The song is about two people who are for whatever reason on the brink in their relationship and one is looking for the other in order to find them and hopefully work things out. There’s a sense that things are in the balance and things might go either way.”
“I was doing a writing session one day and the lines “Sometimes, some people, they don’t wanna be found, I took a photo and I showed it round” just came out. Atari Pilot songs are written to be like soundtracks to moments and with the first couple of lines it felt like there was a story to tell.”
“I really love that although there’s not a complete resolution and the listener can imagine their own story, there is a lot of hope in the song both in the sound and the lyrics which I think is always an important element for an Atari Pilot song. I also love the energy of the music, to me the song feels like things are in the balance and that fits the mood. I cannot wait to play it live to share the energy with people. Playing these songs live is an important part of who we are as a band.”
“Our sound is anthemic indie rock. Songs that you can move to, but also songs that can move you too.”
