New Release – Girl With The Red Dress On by The Holy Guns

Hot bottles & long nights – a modern Blues/Rock/Soul band on its own terms…

Brad Williams had wanted to start a modern Blues/Rock/Soul band for some time, playing original songs with honesty, integrity & soul. The mission was to write & perform songs for the sheer love of the music, without compromise.

The Holy Guns were born to express themselves fully & without limitations, the band became a collective, with the best of British Blues talent contributing their souls. And now… that dream of Brad’s is manifest in the recent releases ‘Baby, Don’t Love Me (Getaway Car)‘, ‘Show U More‘, & the upcoming ‘Girl With The Red Dress On‘. The release date for the latter is March 24.

“The genre of the song is Blues Rock/Soul. The song is inspired by a fictional encounter with a Latin woman, who embodies all strong & independent women.”

“We are hoping that this release will just get heard & hopefully loved by as many people as possible – that’s the goal!It was recorded in GUILDFORD/BRIGHTON/ESSEX in the UK, and also in CANADA – this was all remotely done during lockdown. I mixed the song myself at home.”

“Regarding the artwork – I saw the original picture by a guy in San Francisco in a guitar group chat I’m in on Instagram – he happens to build guitar FX pedals, as well as being an artist. The artwork is called “Vixxen Remixed” – he takes a photographic image and then paints over it – I saw it as he was working on it & it seemed to somehow correspond with the sting image of the girl who could have been the one in the song, so I asked him if I could use the finished artwork – we sought the permission of the model and the photographer, who both agreed to this, so it became the cover for this song!”

If you pre-save the new single, you can win a one-off recorded personal message by the band. The personal message that can be won is anything of the type that a celebrity might do on Cameo – such as a shout out, Happy Birthday, etc. – could even be a short guitar recording!
