New release – Cash That by Dev!n

Dev!n aka Devin Collins, is a well rounded performer who is actively living out his dreams in the City of Angels, Los Angeles. His current repertoire consist of appearances in television, film & music video productions with artists such as Todrick Hall, Ben Affleck, Ariana Grande, and more.

Collins released his debut single ‘No Regrets‘ in October 2020. His third single ‘Cash That’ will be released April 17th. ‘Cash That’ is a high energy pop/rap track, full of sexy lyrics & witty puns. It’s boastful tone accentuates wealth and the perks of upscale living, while comically minimizing the sometimes inevitable consequences of having money & fame. The production is saturated with rich bass & a lavish percussive cadence, that stimulates listeners to flaunt their best “assets” on the dance floor.

“Inspiration comes from so many places, and I honestly love telling the story of how this song came about. I was working one of my old shows, when someone was coming down from a ladder, but twerking while doing it. I jokingly said, “Ayeee, you better bounce that @$$ like a bad check”. The room exploded with laughter, and I thought to myself, “That’s a song.” I finished the lyrics in a day, and then started producing the track, and boom…. ‘Cash That’ was created.”

“This release is sooooo much different than any of my other releases. As I’ve emerged as a solo artist, my focus has been to deliver diversity in my music. With my debut single, ‘No Regrets’, being a pop anthem, and the following single ‘Just So You Know (J.S.Y.K.)‘, a vocally driven ballad, I chose to take it up a notch, and expand my sound, hopefully exposing me to a whole new audience, while providing my current fans to something different. I’m very excited to be showcasing a little more of a mature and playful side of me through my new music.”

“Not only does ‘Cash That’ have a music video, but I honestly believe that it’s my best work to date. I had the extreme pleasure of working with Archangel Film Productions and some of the best talent from my hometown of Tampa, FL. We shot for a total of 5 days at various locations across central Florida and Hollywood, CA. Filming a full production during a pandemic was quite a challenging undertaking, however, between the director, dancers, actors, director, makeup artist, hair stylist, my manager & myself… we made it such a pleasurable experience, and I am really proud of it.”
