Another week, another chart update! Here’s the COOL TOP20 2023 wk07. The tracks by Indifferentmonkey, Dorsten, Privacy Please and Dany Horovitz have been promoted to the Spotify HALL OF FAME playlist where they will grow old. Congratulations: Joe Adhemar for another single at the top spot! Congratulations Joe!
New entries
We have 4 new entries in the TOP20 this week. We’ve selected the tracks: At #12 we’ll find “Losing Touch” by Heart Sauce. At #13 The Ruckus Habit enters the top20 with “Realign”. At #19 “White” by North Sun. And Skinny Dippers with an alternative version of their “Wedding Ring” with Middle Youth at #20.
Bonus tracks
We have received some sad news from Louise. She told us her partner and indie artist DrEw has died in December. We have added his track ‘In the End’, which charted in the Cooltop20 back in 2020 as a bonus track. We congratulate Brighton based Lovejoy as their single has also charted in the national chart! And of course more brilliant new bonustracks, selected with a little help from our friends Jan (radio de Schans), Sara (inthebucketplaylist) and our band in the spotlight: The Utopiates. Show them some love!
There is more
Yes, we receive between 300 and 800 new submissions every week. And a lot of them are knocking on TOP20’s door. We surely miss a few gems every week, some just need a little more time to grow. Our (long) shortlist now consists of 60 tracks and 30 of the artists involved have had a track in the cooltop20 before. So, help us out.
